About me

The most important thing about me is what I think about God.

Back in 2025, I got baptized. When they asked why, while I had much to say, I gave the simple reply: "Because Christ has held me fast, and I treasure Him above all else." That is all I could say, and it was all I needed to say because it was the truth. I knew that it was not my own righteousness that saved me from the punishment of sin I deserved, but His. And His sustaining power is what has kept me in the faith. I said that I treasure and value Him above all else because in Christ I really do. As John Piper so helpfully puts it, the act of praising God is equivalent to prizing Him, finding more value in Him than anything else. This is the inverse of idolatry, which is supremely prizing a creation instead of the Creator.
